Like most overscheduled kids, ours have cycled through a LOT of activities. I have to say that Young Singers Academy is so, so special and powerful in our lives for helping our kids find and cultivate their voices. AND - it's one of the activities that has actually translated gorgeously to the quarantine context.

My two daughters age 7 and 9 have grown so much as singers while working with Young Singers Academy. They have learned vocal technique and grown in vocal confidence. The teachers at Young Singers Academy are great with children and they bring an enthusiasm to every lesson!

Voice lessons with Vielka were “instrumental” in making my son's gap year a tremendous success both musically and socially.
And his gap year also included two amazing internships, a video editing class and an exciting trip overseas. Now he's at college and doing well. He even started a band! At family gatherings we have a blast when his brother plays the piano and he sings.
I wasn't sure how online classes would work for singing lessons. But my daughter has been taking them for the past two years and loves it. She is constantly singing and already knows how to read music!

Book the trial class! Within 5 minutes of my daughter's trial class, I knew it was an excellent match for us both. My daughter is seven and was turned off by singing classes after a bad experience.

It was FUN! After the trial class, I received an email with a copy of the recorded lesson, a practice lesson video, and a PDF assesing my daughters session. My daughter is signed up for weekly classes now.
We have three daughters currently involved with YSA's online education program. Our experience couldn't be better!
All the teachers we have worked with — Gabby, Julia, and Ali — have been kind, inclusive, supportive, educational, and inspiring for the girls. All three girls (6, 11, and 12) look forward to their time in class and continue to sing alone and together in the off hours, practicing their songs and enjoying the expression that comes with it.
There are students in their classes from both the US and other countries, which adds some cultural depth to the learning too.
My 7-year old daughter has been having online private singing lesson with Julia for almost a year. Julia is a fun teacher and my daughter loves singing with her.

Our daughter has been working with YSA since her seventh grade, and continues to this day as a rising senior at The LaGuardia High School Of Music, Art, And Performing Arts, where, thanks to YSA’s help in preparing for her initial audition, our daughter was admitted to LaGuardia’s Vocal Studio.

Vielka and her team are truly special. They teach their students to find their voices using the music that speaks to them as an individual. Each lesson is tailored to develop their voice in a fun, relaxed atmosphere while working on correct vocal techniques, with each singing developing awareness of the sound they are producing, and how to change it.

My daughter loved Young Singers. Vielka and her teaching staff are amazing. We took classes from Kindergarten through 5th grade and loved every minute. Vielka worked one on one with my daughter to prepare for school musical and talent show auditions.
The yearly recitals are also a great experience for kids. Although my daughter has moved onto other activities in Middle School (orchestra, debate and fencing), Young Singers Academy gave her a great foundation of joy for the arts and confidence in her abilities to do just about anything.
We have recently started our online journey with YSA for our child and it already feels like a haven of teachers who nurture the child as an individual as well as their talent. Ms. Vielka and Ms. Josefin are truly engaging and warm while they skillfully teach new techniques to young learners.
